Project Management
Project commencement
When contracts have been signed, we want to set up the project in GitLab, and create a budget tracking spreadsheet. Depending on how the client prefers to have their invoices organised, we may also want to label epics by categories (budget lines) in dash.
Checklist
- Project has been set up with GitLab, including labels for the various epics with estimates
- Budget lines have been set up in Dash for invoicing purposes
- A budget tracking spreadsheet has been created
General project management
For any client we are working on a project with, we have regular review and catchup meetings with them. But in addition to these more formal catchups, we inevitably also carry out other less formal project management tasks. Such as:
- informal chats with client team members to prepare them before the initial meeting or information gathering workshops.
- tidying up labels and issues through the process
- follow-up with people for the progress of the process
- solve any management/housekeeping issues that arise etc.
We want to track and charge for all project management time for all clients.
